10.3.9 Issues
 

I recently upgraded to 4.8.1 and every time I try to open it up, it fails. I saw the Java 10.3.9 upgrade link and did the upgrade, but still LimeWire will not open.

delete the old version of limewire and reinstall

Limewire 10.8.1 won't work for me, either
 

I'm trying to use Limewire 4.8.1 on OS 10.3.9, on a 450 mhz G4 Cube with 500 mb RAM. Limewire gets to the User Interface "loading" screen, but never goes any further. I've let it sit for 15 minutes, and nothing. I've tried completely trashing it (the application, the preferences files, anything with "Limewire" in the filename) and reinstalling it, but no go.

I'm on a cable connection, and was able to use Limewire just fine before I upgraded to 10.3.9. Wassup?
