Default PowerBook frezees after opening Limewire

Hello,
M Powerbook (G4, 1GHz) freezes after opening Limewire. The only option available is to power the machine off. Problems commenced after installing OS X 10.4.1 (fresh install) and latest Limewire. Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,
Steven

I'm having the same problem with my new iMac G5 installed with Tiger. Does it have something to do with Tiger? It seems to crash iTunes for some reason and I get the never ending beachball icon. i had to power off twice....

Anyone have suggestions?

It is Tiger... Previous system (10.3.9) and Limiwire had no problems. I also noticed that on several ocassions similar problem ocurred, while loading webpage. Is it a problem with java??

I've had the same issue with my PowerBook. Running 10.3.9 not Tiger and my Mac freezes after a few minutes trying to download something.
