Default Shutdowns

I am using Limewire 4.8.1 on OSX 10.3.9. I have downloaded and installed all updates including Java. When Limewire starts up it loads to the console screen with the pop-up "Do you want to upgrade?". After I respond in any way (later, yes, why?) the Limewire program unexpectly shuts down. The Mac Console gives me the following information:

[Fatal Error] :336:1: Content is not allowed in trailing section.

This is what happens normally. But, about once a day it will start up and work??!!! Does anybody have any ideas? Will upgrading to Pro help?

Thank you.
