mouse wont 'wake up'

My mouse used to do this, too (standard apple wireless). When the comp goes to sleep, usually the bluetooth sleeps as well. This includes your mouse. Mine has taken up to 30 seconds to wake up before. If it takes much longer, you may have a faulty mouse.
