Default Mac OS X tiger Incomplete files start from 0%??

I have just updated to tiger, i backed up my home folder including all limewire downloads thinking that when i moved to tiger i would be able to restart my downloads where they left off.

This is not the case, i have now installed tiger & tried to restart these downloads but instead of starting where they left off, they have started again from scratch @ 0%!

Please can anyone help me to resolve this as some of these files have taken weeks to download & i really dont want to have to start from scratch again!

Any help would be real good...

Surely someone must know something about this, seems plenty have viewed but no replies as yet?

Some support would be really helpful as i am sure someone has had this problem before & it does seem rather ridiculous if it cannot be resolved.............

When you move the incomplete files to the new computer, you should move the entire folder. The 2 files within called downloads.dat & .bak are your downld preferences. Without them your incompletes aren't worth much. So close down LW. Then go back to the original incomplete folder & move the said files across. Then restart LW.

If you're refering to the one computer but updated OS, then the only reason I can think of is that your comp has crashed whilst LW was open or you shutdown your comp before LW had fully closed down.

Which version of LW were you running before & which one now. And has there been any changes of version you've used; eg: the beta 4.9 & LW 4.8.1

If the 1st suggestion about replacing the incomplete preferences with the older ones doesn't work, then I guess you're stuck with starting them from 0%. I can't think of anything else unless someone else has a suggestion.

Do the files actually start off in your downld window or is your downld window blank when you start up LW? If it's blank & you then go to the LW Library window & Resume them, then chances are they will start from zero. What I'd suggest you do is search for the item again using LW's search, then see if you see one with the open manila folder icon & select that to downld again. It might take time but it's probably the best chance you have. If there's no manila folder icon or cancelled icon (ripped paper icon), then you'd be stuck with the resume from the library.

Then stop the downld & reselect from the search results. Manila folder is the one with the green arrow.
