MAC OSX HELP download

Hi:
I have a Mac with OSX, but not Jaguar. I don't have LimeWire, and every time I try to download it it automatically downloads 4.9...for which apparently I need Jaguar. it then tells me to download 4.8 and gives me a link to click on (which sends me back to the site to download 4.9), and i CANNOT find 4.8 anywhere on the website.

Does that mean you're using OS 10.1.x ? LW has dropped support for OS 10.1 b/c it uses a much older version of Java that the newer LW can't handle very well.
LW has also stopped the availability of LW 4.8.1 since there's been significant changes such as with licencing for legal reasons.

Options: (a) Um ... if you have a dual OS (eg: OS 9 also), then you could downld the classic version & run it in the classic environment. (b) Downld 4.9.x anyway & try it. (c) I'd need the answer to the above question to give any other options.

I have OS 10.1.5
I do have the OS 9 as well so I can try to download that also.

Hey Marea why don't you register as a member of the forum. Then you'll know when people have responded to your posts. Other pluses also such as pm's, use of avatars & a personal signature at the end of posts. You'll also be able to easily find your previous posts. It only takes 5-10 mins to finish the rego process!
