Another LimeWire crashing @ Start Up Problem

im on a PowerPC G4 10.3.9
ive downloaded the latest version of LW
when i start up you get to the part where it asks if you wanna upgrade...i click "later" then the "tip of the day" window pops up and before i can close that window or even uncheck the box so that doesnt pop up every time you start up LW completely crashes, each and every time.
i have updated to the latest OS 10.3.9 and updated all the security updates AND even did the steps provided in this thread:

but it still crashes every time i get to the "Tip of the Day" window.
i dont know what to do! its so frustrating ...anyone have an answer?

Whatisit,

(1) could you download the combo 10.3.9 from
Apple
and install it over you existing 10.3.9

(2) repair permissions
Launch DiskUtility (Applications/Utilities)
On the left, select the drive
On the right, selec the tab for repairing the drive
Click on the "Repair permissions" button and let it run; do not worry about messages
Restart
(3) test LW

if it fails remove LW

Look in your Applications folder for Limewire. If it's there, drga to trash.

Then look here;

user>library>Application Support

If Limewire is there, trash it.

Then do a Find on your System foe Limewire to see if anything is left.
