Default 13/09/2005: new Apple Java update!

Salut à tous, Apple just made available a Java update for 10.3 and 10.4 users. Since LW relies on Java and that Apple Java had bugs... Maybe this update fixes osx specific problems. Please post your feedback below.

On 10.3, it updates java 1.4.2_05 to 1.4.2_09
On 10.4, it updates java 1.4.2_08 to 1.4.2_09

Any probs/improvements??

Ciao

Merci et voilà

hehe, I can't even check out the Apple tech notes linked by software update (I've been trying for an hour now, and the page just won't load). http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61798

Were you able to access it?

After the mess Apple made of the last update, I sure hoped this one is better.

There are some Apple specific security fixes as well as the Sun Java changes you can see there:

I updated to the latest Java. Limewire still freezes during startup. Guess I'll try going back to an older version. Any other suggestions?

I didn't realise it was an improvement so I haven't updated yet. It refered to people who have Java 1.3.1 & 1.4.2 so I didn't think it was anything too important. I updated iTunes instead. Oh well. lol Next time I quit LW I'll do it. Also the QT update will kill off pro users who upgraded from earlier versions. That I can't afford.
