Won't start again... I have Lime Wire Basic on My OS X. It always worked fine, but last week I did a permission repair on my computer (someone told me to do that every now and then). And then when I started Lime Wire it just quit during the startup process. I think it came to the second part of the splash screen all the time, saying something like Starting HTML-engine or whatever... I removed the program from my hard disk and downloaded a new installer, but it won't work either. Anyone know what to do? Brad |
I would suggest: 1. deleting your LW preferences found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire 2. Double-click the harddrive icon, open the Library, open the Receipts folder, then find the file: Install LimeWire.pkg, delete it and try installing again. Receipts folder sample image 3. Do a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions |
