Initial Installation
 

Hi all

I have been previously using Limewire and think it's dantastic. However I am on an iBook and for nearly a month I have been using it without too many problems. I had a automated software update box appear and chose the items I thought were appropriate. Since this time approx Limewire will not even load. I have downloaded the latest version but the icon just bounces twice and then sits abruptly. I am wondering if it's a problem with Java (I didn't select any of the updates for Java), if so how do I get the software update box to appear? Have tried it from the apple menu but nothing happens, I am wondering if I have unknowningly downloaded something nasty perhaps?

Yes the issue does apply to some people when they update their mac system. Re-installing Java is generally the answer using the "Offline" installer.
