where can i download v. 4.8?
 

could anyone help me find a download for v. 4.8... i miss my limewire, :( the newest version won't work on mac os x 10.1.5 and it says to get 4.8... can someone find one for me? thanks everyone!!

I have pity for OS 10.1 users. Problem solved. You could also use the classic version if you have os 9 installed. But 4.8.1 would be better as classic only offers 4.0.10

i don't have the os 9 installed, it was accidentally deleted and i have never been able to get it back

You can redownld the OS 9 version anyway from the LW downld site. It's still available. I sent you a pm but OAH has also offered. ya, i don't mean the os 9 limewire... i mean actual OS 9 program... when i updated, it wiped out everything i had on it, so no mac os 8/9 programs work on my computer. it's a pain in the ***! i tried to reinstall it using the cd but it wouldn't work

you guys rock. i removed classic.. it s a pain, and uses space. you limewire guys should let peeps get older versions on your main site... why dont you ??

We don't work for Limewire. Remember this is just a forum. We're just volunteers. I was sad when LW proggies announced they'd no longer offer support for OS 10.1 users. But since (I had been pleading with them), they did do a couple of updates for the classic version from 4.0.8 to 4.0.10 or 11 or something.
