downloading limewire
 

hey i just got a new mac os 10.4.3 and im trying to download limewire... but the file comes up as this weird microsoft word-looking type file and when i double click on it it asks me to ubscribe to microsoft excel even though i actually own the program...
anyways i have stuffit expander etc.
and have downloaded other programs (ex. windows media player) and they worked

cant figure out what's wrong
help?

Do you have try to repair permissions on your machine ?

Internet Explorer likes to treat .dmg files as if they were Excel files.

Safari and Firefox will handle the download properly. Really though, don't use Explorer on an OS X machine.
