Question ibook g4 usb modem loads of stress

ust got myself a new ibook g4 14", all standard. trying to get connected to the internet using one of sagem or zoom usb adsl modems. when i install the drivers everything seems to go smoothly both of the lights on the modem light up. this stays the same even if i unplug the phone line. once the book restarts as is necessary a warning note comes up saying that it thinks the app is unsafe and do i want to fix this. ive tried all of the possible answers, but still to no joy. an error message comes up after trying to connect saying unable to find ppoe and, well all the usual what can i do?
