i cant believe this but every p2p file sharing has a trojan the trojan gets your ip and logs you on to copyright it is 100 gbp for every music track video etc you download and sometimes you can be sued PLEASE STOP MY COUSIN HAS BEEN FINED 8, 500 POUND THIS IS NO JOKE TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY! POST EVERYWHERE ABOUT THIS REMEMBER ME WHEN PEOPLE ARE FINED AND YOUR NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE LISTENED TO ME.
POST YOUR THOUGHTS THIS THREAD WILL BE DELETED SOON BECAUSE LIMEWIRE DOES NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT THIS/ it looks like they have logged you |

I will not delete this post. I am not LW. But even if I was, I would still not delete it. Why? Because you don't know what you're talking about. What happened to your cousin is regretable and I'm genuinely sorry, but, frankly, he should have known what not to download as I said in my other post. To contract a trojan, your cousin must have downloaded an .exe or .zip file (sometimes .jpg or even .avi) and then tried to open it without scanning it first. Besides, posting in the Mac sections is entirely useless: to this day, there are virtually no Trojans on this platform (although it has been proven that it is possible to create one)

And to come back to Apple Scruffian's initial post, could you please refer to this post which deals with 10.3.9 issues. By first of all, I will repair permissions: (must be admin) Launch Applications/Utilities/DiskUtility On the left pane, select the drive On the right, select the First Aid (or SOS) tab Then click on repair permissions and let run; don not worry about messages like " new permissions...." Quit DiskUtility Shutdown and reboot Phil |
