Hi there people, I have been using Limewire on my mac for ages, but today I upgraded to the newest one and after a seemingly successful install a window pops up telling me that limewire has encountered an internal fatal error etc...There was a 'Review' button which i pressed which opened the following diagnosis (Which I don't understand in the slightest!) I have uninstalled, deleted and redownloaded countless times and also tried frostwire but the same thing keeps happening! Any help at all would be really appreciated!

May I recommend you update your Java to 1.5 using the "Offline" Java installer: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301073 & follow the directions to force LW to use Java 1.5; unless you instruct it to use 1.5, it won't.

Also, after installing Java, reboot the computer whilst holding down SHIFT key until you see the startup window with a message saying Safe Booting. The once fully started up, go to Utilities folder & open Disk Utility & Repair Permissions. Then reboot normally. Before opening LW, (use the Java utility to make LW use Java 1.5 if you hadn't already before doing the safe boot & repair permissions), & also delete the LW preferences found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire
