I cannot load limewire,stops on loading user interface
 

Ive read through all the post about loading user interface freeze problems but to no avail. Running 10.3.9 OS X . IT was working fine ! Please Help!

1. Did you see the QuickTime Sticky at the top of this section? Check that as that might be your problem.

2. Try deleting your LW preferences foldre found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

3. Make sure your Modem/router's UPnP is enabled. If you have OSX firewall enabled then configure it for LW. See Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

4. Last choice I can think of would be checking your system over, doing safe boot & repairing permissions. And re-installing this http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...update142.html

still can not get past loading user interface
 

I've done everything you've suggested but when I deleted every java file then tried to reload the 142 update it said that it couldn't install because I didn't have a version of java that needed updating!
I've checked to see if there were any java files still on my drive but it came up empty.

The only java you needed to remove from the receipts folder was Java142Update2.pkg if it wouldn't let you install it. You may need to reinstall java update1 in that case. http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...ityupdate.html & or http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...pdate1039.html

Hi, on 10.3.9. Like you, it was working fine and suddenly does not. Have done all mentioned. What did you do in the end?

I wonder too.

Nobody told him to remove all the Java receipts. That shouldn't be done. If necessary, only the 1.4.2update x one.

I'm doing all the things people are telling me to do, and still can't get beyond bouncing limewire, what next:(

i used to have limewire and all ok then could load so removed and reinstalled and now i get to limewire set up press next and it takes me to startup etc but there is no box at the bottom to say finish or anything so i cannot complete the set up?????????
