Can someone help me? I cannot get a consistant connection. The highest it will get is good. Then when i search it goes to starting connection or won't give me search results

i have the correct quicktime
i have java 1.5
i have mac osx 10.4.5
beta pro lw 11

no firewall
threw away my preferences

what else can i do?

Did you force LW to use Java 1.5? See how here Setting up Java 1.5

What type of connection do you have? Dial up, Broadband, Cable, Satellite, etc. Do you know your line speed in either kbps or KB/s?

What brand & model of modem/routers do you use?

Where are you trying to connect from, home, school, work, etc.?

Are you sharing your connection with others & are any of those others also using a p2p sharing program?

Did you ensure you enabled UPnP on your connection device? If it doesn't support UPnP then manual port forwarding it the way to go. Instructions here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

Do you see a brick wall in front of the globe icon at the bottom of LW? Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?
