 Downloading fast on Windows but not Mac OS X on Campus Network hi, I am running an iBook with Mac OS X 10.4.5, the latest. Limewire used to download at high speeds like up to 50k while I was on a college campus network. However, recently it's been slowed down to only 1 or 2k, returning to the high speeds when I am at home on DSL. What's interesting is my friends who own PCs are still getting the same speeds while using Limewire. My computer is not slow since it is very new, and I'm wondering what difference in either preferences or the hardware that is making my Windows friends download faster then me? thanks.  |
