downloaded and showed up in excell when i downloaded the new version of limewire instead of an instaler to show up on my desktop it showed as a microsoft excell document and when i open it it opens a spred sheet full of gobbly gooop and I would like to kno if anyone else had that problem and if they could help me |
You didn't say where you downloaded it from. My guess is some site besides the official LimeWire site. LimeWire is a Java based app and there is no way it will open in excel. You can get LimeWire at the link below. http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml |
i downloaded it off of the limewire site just like i should but after it compleated downloading i would double click on the icon and it would take a minute to load and it would open a spread sheet full of im sure some kind of computer code i dont know if it makes a difference but i am using os 10.2.8 |
It is probable that you are downloading Limewire using Internet explorer, and you should use Safari, (or Opera) to download it as IE can not do the job right:) You should get a DMG file when you download I'm slightly unsure if this is your problem but for later OSXs I would say it was for sure. Please let us know if this helps. |
