 Acceptable speed? I have a 1.2 GHz PowerPC iBook G4 with 512 MB of ram. I'm running OsX 10.3.9, Java version 1.4.2_09 and Limewire Pro version 4.10.9. My connection speed is supposed to be 512 kbps through a cable modem. What download speed (roughly speaking) should I reasonable expect assuming a good stock of available hosts and assuming my ISP isn't throttling P2P traffic (which I have yet to establish). Because I'm guessing it should be a good deal more than the 15KBpS I'm getting on a good day. I have tried many a tweak and hint and I'm going nuts. All pointers, especially as to the sort of speeds I should expect with my set up, very gratefully received. Thanks in advance  |
