Default Limewire keeps quiting in Macos 10.3.9

I keep getting the application has unexpectedly quit want to send a report? error. I uninstalled and reinstalled newest version of limewire and happens still. Sometimes runs an hour or more and sometimes just a few minutes before it quits. Can anybody help? Thanks!!!

Darn, wish I had the answer. I have exactly the same problem. It had been happening in basic, so I bought Pro and it still crashes after about a half hour - sometimes longer. I downloaded the latest Java update - still no luck. I updated Quicktime - nada. I asked support for suggestions yesterday but have heard nothing back yet. Let me know if you figured it out.

Quick suggestion: limit the number of downloads and incompletes to just two or three for starts. (clean out the incomplete folder from the Library).

If you don't get a better answer or by searching the forums, I'll be back in a day or so.

Red face still crashing

I didn't quite follow your suggestion but I did eliminate all downloads but those that were partial. In reality though Limewire once upon a time did not crash. It has been crashing for the past few months. Upgrading to Pro did not help.

Keep trying to whittle down those incompletes

Pro and Basic are virtually the same, so upgrading to Pro won't solve a Basic problem.

A bug with LW 4.12.3 and OS X was found and will be fixed in 4.12.4 -- see if it matches your experience: details at http://www.limewire.org/forum/showth...=1278#post1278

I too have had this problem since upgrading to 4.12.3 which I only did on advice from here. I have followed all the advice i.e clearing incomplete, deleting prefs etc etc. and I posted a thread about it. today downloaded one file started another and booff gone.

getting to the stage where I might bin it altogether, more trouble than it's worth. glad I didn't get pro now

here is the orignal thread
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...8&goto=newpost

last entry says 4.12.4 is available
