LW can't recognize aliases? Just finally updated to LW 4.10.9 from whatever I had been using in Classic (4.0.10, I think). I have a lot of files that I can share, in the same folders with files that I do not want to share. To get around this in Classic I made aliases for the shareable files and put the aliases in a folder, which I specified as a shared folder. The old LW apparently recognized the paths to the original files, as some of them were successfully dl'd by other users out there. Dunno if it's an OS X thing (OS X 10.4) or a LW 4.10 thing, but now the aliases in my shared folder full o' aliases are not recognized as shared files. :( |
1 Attachment(s) NP what you can do is share the entire folder, then go to your LW Library window, select that shared folder, select each of the files you don't want to share & Control-click on them. An option window will appear allowing you to Stop sharing that particular file. Thus, you can have a shared folder with both shared & unshared files. ;) Files that are not being shared will be listed in red. The same applies to folders. ;) See sample attached image below. |
