Default confusion with java update

i have a mac 10.4.7, and my limewire quits as soon as it launches, i went to the LW website and it was recommended to me to update my java, so i did, a couple of times, java 10.3.9, then java 5.0...but both tell me that "installing this sofware requires 47.4mb of space", but it shows me that i have 32.7Gb free. it also says "you cannot install j2se 5.0 Release 1 Package on this volume. this volume contains a newer version of java 1.5" i dont understand any of this and i paid for limewire.

Before you install a new Java version, you should uninstall the old one and as a matter of princip, reboot.
But make sure that you downloaded the correct version for your system.
