When all files complete, they say "file not found"

Well here is my problem:
I have just moved my system 10 imac from home to school and got a new internet service here. At home, I was downloading from Limewire with no problems.

Here at school (off campus) I try to download and then run into this crappy problem:
The search is fine, even downloading the file is fine. BUT, then once it gets to 100% complete, the file does not go into my itunes, nor anywhere else. I double click on the file and it says "Limewire cannot play the file. . . The file cannot be found. Whyyyy is this so??

What is also weird is as it's downloading, I can click on the file and it will play. But once it is complete it then acts up. I experimented with many different files but all ended in the same result. I've also went through the Limewire settings about a dozen times but can't seem to figure anything out.

Is it something to do with my internet service provider?
PLEASE HELP!!

Lianne

Have you searched your shared folder outside of limewire...

Or/& search the file ... eg: search .mp3 or .m4a using mac's search function (Command F)

To re-enable iTunes importing, go to LW's prefs , -> iTunes -> & turn the importing option on & back on & press apply. You may need to restart LW for it to take effect.

If all else fails, delete your LW prefs folder whilst LW is CLOSED, found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

I went on to tell the member where to find the shared folder and had to delete it as I relised they were a Mac user lol....

:D Mac users might have their download folder anywhere, but probably the default location is not so different to windows; OSX > Users>Account name > Documents (I think that's the default location.)

I have mine on a different HDD partition.

Figured it out

Okay, so first off, thanks guys for a response so quick!

I took all your suggestions, and I also did a search for the files I downloaded and you would not believe it, they were in my library after all.

Wow don't I feel like an idiot.

Thank you so much though guys, you are wonderful.

:)
