Default Programme bug: sort by size

i often use "sort by size" to weed out the junky ads, but i've noticed that it doesn't work right in the latest version (limewire 4.12.6 on mac os x 10.4) - most of the time, smaller files (listed as 1,234 KB for example) get listed in the middle of bigger files (like 123 MB). it looks like it's just sorting on the number part without paying attention to the units (MB vs. KB).

(if i can figure out how to do it, i will attach a small screenshot that shows this behaviour.)

It is a rule of the forums, that any discussion concerning copyright violation is not allowed, and Limewire users undertake to not use Limewire for copyright violation. Your screenshot indicates you have not followed these guidelines.

And you do have a point........ Private Message sent

Default assumptions vs. examples

yes, that screenshot shows a list of copyright material - which some other (bad?) people on the net have chosen to make available from their computers. but just by *searching* for files i am not infringing on copyright, because no files are being transferred - only "meta information" like file names and sizes.

i was merely using a search term that i knew would fill the screen with enough files of various sizes to demonstrate the display problem, but would not include a) pornography, or b) music.

the screenshot itself was as small and tight as i could make it, to save bandwidth, while showing enough to allow the programmers to see what the problem is. (and allow them to reproduce it.)
