Installing M**** O**** X* in a Mac

Hi,
Just wondering if someone can help me out. I downloaded *** on my Mac and I have no idea how to install it. The Zip file is my shared files folder and I have clicked on every folder, file , document that came with the file and nothing happens. I am using OX S. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a Mac geek, but shouldn't you install the Microsoft Office 2004 for MAC??

I'm not sure whether the one you have will run on your system (or even get installed)......

XP for Mac

Thanks foolofthehill for the quick answer. Yes according to the title of what I downloaded it is for Mac.. but who knows, they are some files that end in exe.. and I read somewhere that those ones don't work in Macs. Anyway if someone out there knows the answer I would really appreciate your help. Cheers.:laugh_2:

You guys obviously had a bit of fun here. Interesting seeing windows users posting in a mac osx section. :tease:

Some Virtual PC editions come "with" windows XP. So that might be your best option. My ***** was courtesy of my brother. (oops!) :wasntme: Unless you have a fast mac, expect it to run quite slowly. Mine is a PITA to run on my system.

Alot of Sarcasm and zero help to anyone dude. Since you seem to have dibs on this thread, would you now take the time and answer the fookin question. I have office 2007 which I purchased, I would like to know how or if I can install it on my new iMac. When I insert disk it opens a wordpad style page with a bunch of ASCII jibberish.

I am wayyy the Mac noob, can someone please give me some advice ...

TYIA.

Lord of the Rings March 27th, 2009 04:04 AM

I think Microsoft support are the people to ask that question to. :) Just register at their site or phone their nearest office. :)

Actually I didn't even know there was a Office 2007 for mac. I know there's a 2008 which works fine on intel. ;)

Oh wordpad .. isn't that a windows text program? I'm mostly a mac user so wouldn't know much about windows office. I normally keep the windows to the office closed. :) :D
