newbie need guidance

Hi...I'm new using LW (basic version). I've tried couple times to search, any kind of format (all type, Audioor video) but the result is nothing. Of course my connection is on. I'm using Mac Os X 10.3. What should I Do..? thanks.

Some more details would help System details - help us to help you (click on link). Also how many green bars do you see.

Perhaps your search is too specific. Search for something very common & see if you get any results.

My computer specification

I already search in very common and simple in example john mayer or incubus but the result still nothing. oke here is my comp. specification

1. OS version? Mac OS X 10.3

2. What firewalls you have? I have no idea

3. How much ram? 1 GB DDR

4. Hard Disk space available? 6 GB

5. Connection type? cable

6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? I have no idea

7. Where are you trying to connect from ? work

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW 4.12.6
Java 1.4.1_01

9. Who is your ISP provider? I have no idea

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? the result is 'Your test worked!'.

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Nope

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. ? This is my 1st try using LW ( actually couple times before but the result still same)

13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

Thank you for your help.

See what happens if you download a magnet link from here http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

The brick wall icon is a sign of a firewall problem. Which I'm guessing is related to work network set up. If your OSX firewall is turned on then configure it as described here OSX Firewall settings for Tiger
