![]() I see that 48 times people have read my message, but no one wants to (or can) help me. Please, if you have a suggestion or if I need to include more system details, let me know. I have LW on my computer at work and it works fine. It's a PC and I simply downloaded the LW app. and poof! it worked. No messing with firewalls/ports/proxies, etc. What's the beef with Mac. Does this app. work on Mac without having to jump through a bunch of hoops? Am I installing it wrong? Any help would be appreciated. |

![]() Sometimes posts get missed - it's not intentional ![]() Have a look at post 8 in the thread below...the firewall might be coming from your ISP. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ght=windstream If that's not it, just bump your thread after a day or so & so it will go to the top of the pile again. |

![]() Thanks Birdy for writing me back. The link you posted was for PC's running XP (windstream had no support for us lowly mac users.) However, I turned off my firewall on my router and for some reason LW started working. I know I did this before, but today it worked. I then went back and turned the firewall back on low. LW stayed connected, my computer ran a little slower (opening files and apps and such) but, I'm connected to LW. Thanks again. CS |
