![]() I have had fairly good success with searches on 2.0. The search results seem to be at least as good as other versions, and it takes much less time after startup to get results. Downloads appear faster too. One major problem however: Limewire 2.0 defaults to "ultrapeer enabled," at least as to those with high speed connections. On the several occasions that I have become an "ultrapeer," Limewire used an incredible amount of system resources (top shows up to 90% of system resources), and eventually crashed the machine entirely. Anyone else had this issue? I have now disabled ultrapeer capabilities and don't have the issue. Running: iMac 500 w/cdrw, 320 MB ram; Mac OS 10.1.2. DSL at 1200 kbps. |
