![]() Guys, I recently installed limewire on 10.3.9, tonight I went to repair my permissions and I got HUNDREDS of error messages regarding "drwxrwxr-x" Has anyone else had this, or know what is? I ran permissions before I installed LW and they were fine. The errors were like these… Permissions differ on ./Applications, should be drwxrwxr-x , they are drwxrwxrwx Owner and group corrected on ./Applications Thanks in advance… |

![]() I've seen that before, when Repair Permissions is run from a different start-up disk (permissions are matched to the current system running). Just restart in Safe Boot Mode (hold down the shift key right after the start-up tone), login to your usual user and run Disk Utility-Repair Perms again. This will reset the perms back to your usual set. |

![]() Right--LW doesn't affect permissions. btw, Repair Permissions is now considered "voodoo", and more likely to just make trouble. see Gruber's http://daringfireball.net/2004/12/software_update for more info. cheers |
