Search no longer works in LimeWire
 

Hi all,

I have had LimeWire installed in my Mac (Intel Core 2 Duo running OS X 10.4.9) for many months. It had been working fine up until a couple of days ago. Now, whenever I try to initiate a search, it always comes up with no hits. What is strange is when I perform the same search on my spouse's laptop (running the same version of LimeWire on the same computer), it works fine producing many hits.

I tried to fix the problem by removing LimeWire and re-installing the latest version. The problem remains.

Any ideas?

Try deleting your LW prefs folder but only whilst LW is CLOSED. They are found here:
/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Are you using LW at same time as your spouse? If yes, make sure you are connecting via a different port. You can check this by going to LW's prefs (keyboard shortcut: ⌘ ,) > Advanced > Firewalls.
