![]() What are the TCP and UDP port numbers as specified in LimeWire's settings? When I go to limewires pref's and look up the advanced firewall "Listening Port" there is a number. Then when I go to OSX's system prefs and following directions make a new setting to allow a specific port, it gives me a box for both TCP and UDP to fill in. I've tried putting both numbers in and singly in each and still limewire does not connect- anybody got better info on this as limewire still thinks there is a firewall even though I have turned the firewall off. I'm connecting through a DSL cable modem to time/warner cable in LA. the modem is a motorola SB5120 |

![]() I know I'm daft but what are the TCP and UDP settings? Limewire has a default manual #6346 and then the "Listening port" # is 24926 Which of these do I enter in the sytem pref's under TCP and UDP separately? And I've gone to that pinging test page and it says: "Yes it works" Is there someone I can call because if I can't use this program I would like my $20 bucks back for the pro version. |

![]() Your UPnP settings will find a port that it thinks are not being blocked & this may change from time to time of use. Personally I nowadays don't even use my OSX firewall for LW. I very rarely have my OSX firewall turned on. Only when surfing suspicious sites. Simply enter the port numbers as recommended in your OSX firewall, unless advised otherwise. More details would be helpful for us to see if we can find a solution for you; System details - help us to help you (click on blue link). Otherwise it's like trying to get a doctor to make you better without actually seeing them. As for pro support, Lime Wire » Support |
