HELP...installed but not opening

Is there anything else i need to do after installing the software? My computer says the software was successfully installed, and there are now two icons on my desktop..."LimeWire" and "LimeWireOSX.dmg (I have a Mac). When I click on the one that just says "LimeWire" it takes me back to the installation page. The other icon doesn't do anything when clicked. PLEASE HELP!! How can I get the LimeWire page opened?!?! It is greatly appreciated.

 oops ... sorry ... Flaming Rediculous Electronic Device....

I'm not familiar with Mac systems. I am using Windows XP.

However, I deleted all cookies/cache/temp files & re-started my computer & LW opened correctly. With some programs, the system needs to be re-started for the final links to take effect.

same problem

hello I have the same problem as red, I'm on a Imac 10.4.10, let me know if you need to know anything else to help me. Appreciate the help!

red, have you tried opening finder, look and see if you have a new folder in there in the applications page. That's where I found it open the folder and inside you'll see three icons open the one on the far right the "lime" and that should do it. It had me confused too, I happened on it by accident after posting the same question. Good luck.

I have this same problem. I install it, but it always takes me right back to the installation start when I click on the icon? Any other way to fix this?

I have a similar problem to reds and popupdoll. Mac G4 733 with OS X.4.10, 1 gig ram

LimeWire Pro 4.12.14 wouldn't start and I couldn't get support because it had been more than six months, so I downloaded and installed 4.14.10. It won't start either, even though get info tells me I have the correct version installed. I paid $34.95 for one year of support, too.

My problem has been solved. I needed to go to software update and install the latest version of Java. Once you do that, there will be more Java related things to install. After that, LimeWire Pro works fine.

lol seems to be windows users posting in the mac section. Problems & answers for both are usually rather different.

For the mac install issues, make sure you're find the actual program after installing. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ewire-pro.html
