Alright to start off I just got a brand new Mac and I dont really know exactly where to find all this information.


1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98) OSX 10.4.10
2. What firewalls you have? MAC OSX turned off
3. How much ram? 1GB
4. Hard Disk space available? again its a brand new computer, there is almost nothing on it
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? lynksys WRT54G
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW 4.12.14 Java 1.5.0_07
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? i have no idea
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? It says your test worked
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. nope, there are 2 other computers in the house but they are desktop windows
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. First time with limewire on my new computer
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes



I have tryed a lot to get my Limewire to work. I have read through so many posts but i still cant get it to work, my firewall is off and everything.

From reading your other posts, it seems you did eventually get LW connected.

I would however, highly recommend port forwarding your wrt54g. Unfortunately that model was unreliable, had a firmware problem Linksys never bothered to fix. So you will probably find you get unreliable connection issues with it. At least you can port forward which should give better results.
