noone is uploading from me anymore..why?

There are lots of hits but there must be something wrong because before there were lots of downloads from my stuff..now nothing. what could be wrong? Ive checked all the obvious stuff..in preferences..enabling sharing..anyone have any ideas?

Hi cozzette,

Do you see the firewall icon (brick wall in front of the blue globe)?

In LW go tools > options > bug reports > view example. Scroll down to 'recieved incoming this session'...is it true or false? If it's false, you're not recieving connections from other computers. It usually means there's a firewall problem somewhere that's stopping people from downloading your files.

Please give us your details.

i have os, cable., limewire pro. I recently moved. i think that must be when problem started but not sure. i live in a house. i had an airport..but not sure if its hooked up anymore. i went to preferences..and bug, etc...and all three said true. I dont know who my internet service provider is...but i'm sure it hasn't changed since before i moved. i did the test and it worked. i dont know what security i have or where to see if there are firewalls(there is not a brick wall showing on limewire. I don't know what p2p sharing is.
thanks for your help.

cozzette, are you using a Mac? If so, are you using OSX?

What version of LW are you using (some versions don't have the firewall indicator)?

Your ISP is whoever you pay for your internet (which company).

Ok, this has been moved into the Mac OSX section...just because not many people here use a Mac (I don't), so you'll attract the right attention in this section.

Have a read of this thread, it might be a Comcast problem;)
