IS LW 4.12.11 capable of opening FIREFOX 2.0.0.4 on its own ???

I recently seen (today 08/092007) That LW 4.12.11has opened Firefox 2.0.0.4 on its own...

I wasn't touching anything when I saw Firefox was opening without my consent. (I swear I wans't doing anything--except eating supper in front of my computer while waiting 4 my DL to finish).

Last thing, I seem that I lost my internet connection a few times before and recently it seemed to freeze at least for about 15-20 seconds.

Apple G4 Quicksilver 1Ghz.
Using OSX 10.2.8
256 ram
LW 4.12.11--Java 1.4.1_01
