Default Download problems - MAC

Downloaded new version of Limewire for MAC OS 10.3. Limewire ver. 4.12.15. Now can't seem to download anything. Even modem stuff needs more sources. Checked other threads...but most of the suggestions..getting rid of preference folders, hidden folders, update Java, all seem windows based. Even though menu says "connection to the network is very strong," feel like I'm not really online. Will restart (have tried this twice already) and try again. Any other suggestions for Mac user?

THANKS!

Default Mac - Limewire new version problems

I am having the same problems. The old version worked just fine. For some reason, when trying to download a file after a search is done, the "download" button is dead. Anyway to fix this or find the old version for mac's to download? Any help at all would be great!

Try going to your Connections Tab in limewire, if it's not showing up go to Veiw > Show/Hide and make sure the connection tab has a tick next to it...
Then click on the Hosts and remove them and let Limewire search for some more...
(try to take note of the hosts IP numbers if the same ones keep re-appearing add them to your host filter...)

Tools > Options > Filters and select the Host Filter and add these IP's into it and select apply...
