![]() Limewire keeps shutting down whenever I open it. i am running OSX 10.4.10 I have updated Java and that has not helped. This is what happens: I go to the Applications folder and doubleclick on Limewire. then the Program starts to load up and the small splash screen that shows that it is being loaded appears. it completely loads everything and the limewire search box appears on teh left side. in the middle is that box asking whether i would like to upgrade to pro. no matter what button i click on that box, immediately after that, limewire shuts down. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling limewire, i have updated java, i don't know what else to do... any help would be greatly appreciated. |

![]() 1. Setting up Java 1.5 2. SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions which should be done after any installations or updates. ![]() 3. Delete the LW prefs folder whilst LW is closed, found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire 4. Don't share more than about 1,500 files. If they are mostly video files then reduce it a little more. 5. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) 6. If still problems then get this version instead & choose one of the nightly versions: LimeWire cvs builds (4.13.4jum490) |
