1. Setting up Java 1.5

2. SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions which should be done after any installations or updates.

3. Delete the LW prefs folder whilst LW is closed, found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

4. Don't share more than about 1,500 files. If they are mostly video files then reduce it a little more.

5. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

6. If still problems then get this version instead & choose one of the nightly versions: LimeWire cvs builds (4.13.4jum490)

im having the same problem and tried everything on ur list and LW is still closing after a few seconds any ideas
