Too many redraws - LimeWire 2.1 on Mac OS X 10.1.2 I have LimeWire 2.1 (might be 2.1.something, I can't see how to tell - dated Jan 19th) and it has cleared up the problem I found with 2.0 of not finding enough. But this version has dramatically increased the redraw/refresh problem. Sometimes whole sections of the interface redraw constantly over and over, one or more times a second. This seems to happen more with the Downloads section, and it doesn't happen all the time (thank goodness!) - but in general the problem of apparently spurious redrawing has increased. This is something I've noticed in general since I first started using LimeWire properly (version 1.7). It has always been a bit of a pain, although mostly when bringing LimeWire to the foreground. But now..! But still, thanks for improving the searchable data performance from 2.0! Keith Macuser technical editor |
Keith- Thanks for the comments. Do you get the continual redraw issue when you expand a group while search results are still coming in? If so, we are aware of this problem and should have it fixed fairly shortly. If this is not when the continual redrawing tends to occur, can you tell us anything more about what causes a continual redraw? Can you reproduce the error? Thanks again. |
