![]() Hello, I am new here. I have been using Limewire for ages now, and never had a problem. Well, not until now... I have Limewire Pro, and have been using it for the past months. Last week I installed a bunch of new programs on my Macbook (Mac OSX 10.4), but they were totally unrelated to Limewire (Photoshop CS3 and Little Snitch). I haven't used Limewire on that day, so I can tell if it was working or not, or if installing those programs did anything to it, but as soon as I tried to open Limewire, I encountered a FATAL ERROR, and Limewire shuts off. I tried uninstalling it and installing it again a thousand times already, uninstalled Little Snitch, which I though was causing it, and now I am helpless... I tried Limewire Support once for another problem and have never heard back from them, so I beg you for your help. Anybody, PLEASE!! How can I make Limewire work again???? |

![]() Sounds to me like a system error. Chances are little snitch or the other programs you installed also installed something in the system or application support that is causing a conflict. You'd need to check both the main library & your account folders to check what support files were installed at that time by arranging them all by date. I'd suggest you remove LW. Drag & drop it into the trash. Then remove the LW receipt file; Receipts folder sample image. Then delete the LW Preferences folder found here /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire Then reinstall LW. If still problelms, set up a new account & try running LW from there. To see how to set up a new account see bottom of page of the first link I gave. |
