HI,
I have the exact same problem. So I tried to install Limewire Pro on my Linux Fedora 8 Machine and it does exactly the same thing. I guess that maybe my ISP is blocking me. I am in Quebec and use sympatico wish apparently is on the withelist

I heard that it's not a problem with ISP.... I used to have LimeWire on the same Mac but running Tiger not Leopard and there wasn't any problem. Of course it was working on the same network. So I think that it is a problem with the OS...:/

Had same problem here, i even though that had done something bad when i updated my windows vista software, but my problem was the stupid firewall status that was not working propertly with inbound and outbound,so i took care of it and now i have the world icon, instead the firewall icon on my limewire with all the green bars,if you want to check and try to fix the way i did,i did a forum here, search for my id and follow my instruction.

Connection problems with Mac 10.5 Leopard

Hi- I am a new Mac user, past PC user, successful with Lime wire pre-Mac.I have viewed a few solutions suggested, however the port changes can only be done with the limewire connected, and I cannot get past a strange window that comes up on the first setup window of the set up wizard, something about shared files full, and I have no clue. to answer your questions suggested, I will try.

Country of orign- USA
OS Mac10.5.1 Leopard
Firewall NO CLUE yes there is a brick wall
RAM 1 gig
Airport wireless router
modem Motorola
ISP Cox.net
desk at home
Limewire 4:16.2Pro
JAVA 1.5.0_13
6346 works
Macbook OS 10.4.11 no problem with LW on this one.
UPnP

I sure hope some one can help out-I have struggled with this for about five days now. I really don't want to mess this thing up-it works really well for EVERYTHING else. I really enjoyed the music I got with this program.

Thanks.

Is this still a problem? If so, can you get far enough into LimeWire to choose a new Shared folder. I'd guess the original one won't let LW write into it.

still cannot connect

I have been thru all my preferences in Apple, all Limewire preferences, all security folders, filter pulldowns, file sharing enabling, port switching, etc, and I still only get 1 small green bar & 4 red bars in the lower left, a firewall in the lower left over the globe, and that is with the connect feature in the limewire file menu on. I need a real person on a phone about this time-don't you all have an 800 number, because this is really frustrating. Sincerely, Val Brending

I have the same problem on my new mac os x with same specs as yours I can't figure out why the brick wall. I've been searching for weeks now, none of the solutions work, or are as exact as yours.
