When it comes up with "upgrade to limewire pro" box DONT click later or close straight away ...

simply start typing, because the blinking "|" symbol, indicating to type ... should already be flashing on start ... once you have began searching, you can click later or close and limewire works fine and dandy ... or at least on mine it did ... can you people who have experienced this write back after trying this and let me know if its a happy coincidence for me or not
