Mac shut down prevented by Lime Wire I'm new to Lime Wire and new to Mac. I've just purchased Lime Wire Pro and installed it on a brand new MacBook Pro running Leopard. Had a play with it last night and I'm basically happy but I have one question. When I've finished with a given session I click the little red "close" button on the Lime Wire window and it seems to close down. I then go to shut down the Mac but it says that Lime Wire is still running and prevents the Mac from shutting down. I have to re-open the Lime Wire window and force it to shut down before I can shut down the Mac. Is this normal? Are there Lime Wire options to control this? |
Normal way to close LW is to use the Command & Q keys = Quit. Else go to File menu & choose Quit. You seem to be thinking like a windows user. :p (Please, the control key on keyboard does NOT = windows Control key. The key that has an apple on it and the ⌘ is the Command/Apple key which = Windows Control key.) :) If still not shutting down properly, go to LW's preferences, (Keyboard shortcut = ⌘ , ) Shutdown/system tray & choose close immediately option. :) |
