Cannot switch to limewire using spaces.

Hi, my limewire is always open in space 6.

When I am on any space, I cannot switch to limewire by cmd-tab or clicking on the limewire logo in the dock.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

My mac:
Macbook Pro 2.5Ghz
Java - SE6
OS X Leopard 10.5.2

When I click on LW in the dock, or go to it by CMD-TABbing, the Limewire menu bar appears at the top of whatever space I am in (the bar with File, View, Navigation etc. in it). It just doesnt switch to the main window.

LW devs noted there's a problem with Spaces and java (LW) that has to wait for an Apple update. See if this link works for you for the details https://www.limewire.org/jira/browse/LWC-1325

Tried that, didnt work =[

Oh well--guess registration is required.

Anyway, the fix is in the beta version of LW, but I can't tell if the fix depends on the next release of Java for OS X too. Curtis Jones is the dev to contact who is working on the problem.

This is apparently the same problem Adobe is having, as seen here MacNN | Adobe to delay 64-bit CS4 for Macs

Downloaded the beta version - the problem is still there.

Still no fixes?

I don't know-- the bug report is marked "fixed", but the fix never made it to the beta.

I saw the devs were working on some other OS 10.5 issues, so maybe yours is related and will be added to some future beta.

iConquest,

I'm pretty sure that if you change the order of the java versions in the "Java Application Runtime Settings" area of the Java Preferences app, you'll get LW running with SE6. As it is, based just on that screenshot, I'm mostly sure you were still running LW with 1.5.

Also, I noticed strange behavior in LW when running on SE6. Very strange. I'm also going to be gone until early June, but I'll check back when I return.

When I put it on SE6, Limewire bounces in the dock and doesnt open.

Whilst Java 1.6 is for Leopard, does it run on non 64 bit machines? This might be one issue.
