![]() Where I work a firewall has been installed and now I cannot get Limewire to connect at all. It works fine for me at home on a dial connection. I am very raw at this but perhaps it is a port that I need to get opened. Any ideas???? Thanks Dave ( Ireland) |

![]() Dave, may these links help you... http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=47603 http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...light=firewall Philippe |

![]() Dave check out this website for general port forwarding information if you are using a router. www.portforward.com It was helpful for me. |

![]() Simply plug your modem directly into the 'puter and bypass the router set up. This is what I do. It gives me the fastest connection possible. When I am done I plug the router back in the way it was for wireless networking. There are also a lot of posts on firewall / router issues on this list. A little topic searching will go a long way to finding your best solution. g'luck! ![]() ![]() |
