Since a few days, I have the same problem with LW.
When I launch LW, everything is alright but after a few minutes, the download speed = 0 kb. I don't know what happened because I used to use LimeWire for several years without any problems.

2. What firewalls you have? None (not sure)
3. How much ram? 512 MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 6.27 GB
5. Connection type? Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? None (didn't find details)
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Appartment
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LimeWire 4.18.2 Pro & Java 1.5.0_13
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? [B*******er Communications[/b]
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? 'Your test worked!'
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? Yes : MacBook 2,1; Mac OS 10.4.11 ; IntelCore 2 Duo; 512 MB;
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New problem
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? None
16. What country are you living in? USA

If the magnetmix site is behaving, try a file from here & see if the speeds are low: + MagnetMix.com +: The Source for Good Content Make a note of the speeds.

Two things to try are: 1. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) _____ 2. Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX

I tried a file from the site you gave me and it generated an error.
The download was aborted too and all the others speeds was at 0kb
I have cleaned the "Incomplete" folder, deleted LW preferences folder and I've still 0kb speeds...
