![]() hi my name is larry im from Honduras C.A as you can see there is no sch mac support in my country i just bought a macbook 2.1 core 2 duo 1gb ram and recently installed limewire, at first it was working properly but my first download went only up to 6% and never went up from there the message "need more sources" appears, after that it happens to every dowload i try. Also on the lime wire page it appears it detects a firewall but in the security box of osx system preferences the box with "allow all incoming connections" is checked. so im kind of of lost anyone cac help me? |

![]() thanks alot 1.osx leopard 2.system preferences,firewall, allow all incoming connection, no firewall i guess. 3.1gb ram 4.93 gb space available 5.broadband connection 6.modem>motorola surfboard SB5100 router> netgear rangemax wirelessrouter WPN824 7.connecting from my home 8.latest version of limewire 9. local internet provider 10.my test worked 11.yes, dell inspiron using Ares p2p (work perfectly by the way) 12.Used lime wire about 3 years ago in PC and worked correctly, first time in mac 13.yes i see the brickwall infront of the blue world 14.not sure, i dont know how to check for this 15.none 16.Honduras, Central America other than that limewire states that my connection is very strong. |

![]() hmm suggests router issue to me at a guess. Is Ares using the same listening or connection ports as LW? If yes, you need to change them. You can not have two programs using same port for connection or listening. ![]() BTW if you notice drops in speed during heavy downloading, it will most likely be due to the wireless set up. Wireless connections are unreliable for constant high speed downloading, the speed will fluctuate or worse, possibly lose connection, even possibly crash the router. This is a reknown issue in bittorrent circles. ![]() Also, try this: Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link) as you may have some fakes mixed in with your incomplete files which are flooding the connection by constantly attempting to connect. Particularly at start up which is killing the UPnP communication between the program & router to open a listening port for LW. |
