downloaded LW 4.16 and IT quits as soon as it loads, too

my desktop is cluttered up with LW and it's installer and the older version does the same thing as the latest one did AND I COULDN'T EVEN FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET IT IN MY DOCK

. l'm SO frustrated. Your help will be appreciated
