Default P2P Downloads on The Mac

Hello and excuse my ignorance, I am new to this forum.

I use Bitcomet on a fairly mediocre HP Pavilion PC running Win XP and I can download huge files in very little time.

I bought a new Macbook 3 weeks ago. I have Limewire PRO for mac OSX......I get torrents from ISOHUNT and the download capability af the MAC and Limewire is about 10% (or worse than that) of the PC.

What am I doing wrong (and yes I've tried messing with all the preferences in Limewire).

Thanks in advance.

interesting.

Try using Azureus, now called Vuze : Bittorrent Client and see if you get the same results.

I get very good results using Azureus.
Only issue with Azureus is you need to keep your share ratio up. If it drops below 0.7 I think it is, then Azureus seems to slow downloading down until uploads catch back up. My ratio is over 2.0 now so it's reasonably safe. lol

If your share ratio is poor, some people actually filter users out who have poor share ratios to rid of leechers via their torrent program settings. And some people have these requirements quite highly set.

LW is not accepted as a proper torrent program at a number of torrent sites. Also, not a lot of control over how you manage the torrents in LW.
